What is RSS?
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds allow you to read through BC Government news releases at your own convenience. The feeds provide summaries along with links to the full version of the article. This means that instead of having to go back to a website to see what's new, the information that you are interested in can all be found in one place, updated automatically, on your RSS reader.
To view and receive RSS feeds, you will need to obtain an RSS Reader. You will be able to find many news reader applications available to download for free or for purchase on the Internet. Google provides a free and easy to use reader at the following address:
www.google.com/reader.
How to use RSS feeds?
Simply click on the orange RSS button and copy the URL from the address bar and paste it into the appropriate field in your RSS Reader. You will now receive regular news releases from the BC Government. It’s simple to use and a very convenient way to stay informed.
